The AAVMC is happy to report that the data collection process for the 2008 - 2009 Comparative Data Report is well underway and we are on target to reach our goal of releasong the final report by the end of 2008! Moving the release of the report up by several months makes the data much more useful and relevant to the participating Colleges of Veterianry Medicine.  Here is the complete list of deadlines for this project and data collection process:
 
August 22               CVMs Receive Access to Online Comparative Data Surveys

November 14                         Deadline for CVMs to Submit Completed Surveys
Novebmer 26                   AAVMC Transmits Compiled Data to CVMs for Review
December 12                            Deadline for CVMs to reply to Matt Grogg with

                                                          corrections or changes to their data
December 23                       Comparative Data Report Finalized and Distributed

The enhancement to comparative data collection is being guided by the Comparative Data Committee that is chaired by Warwick Bayly (Washington State University). Other committee members include: Herbert Whitely (University of Illinois at Urbaba-Champaign), Trevor Ames (University of Minnesota), Renee Knosby (Iowa State University), Priscilla Roddy (Kansas State University), Paula Tolbert (University of Georgia), Karla Meadows (Auburn University) and Lauren Zumwalt (Mississippi State University).
